Logo design for Cafe Wylde, a vegan restaurant in Everett, Washington — twelve rounds that started in brush script and distressed western slabs and ended somewhere almost opposite: a disciplined high-contrast serif with the wildness handed to a botanical vine instead of the type.

Logo design for Dead Kiss, a Pacific Northwest metal band — four horror-leaning sketch directions were abandoned in favour of a mark that gets its aggression from the letterforms alone, built around a pair of tapered blades that sweep out of the wordmark.
