Stevens Pass is a ski resort on the Cascade range. The project was to design a t-shirt that captured the energy of a mountain day — not a corporate logo on a shirt, but a piece of apparel someone would actually wear.

The design

The graphic combines a snow splatter background with illustrated typography. The splatter gives it motion and texture. The lettering gives it voice. Together they read as a poster that happens to be on a shirt.

The graphic was built in Illustrator as vector art so it could scale to any garment size without losing edge quality. The mockup was assembled in Photoshop, with the graphic placed on a real shirt photograph to check scale and placement.

The components

The illustrated typography is the anchor. Every letter is hand-drawn — not a font, not a filter. The strokes have weight variation and character that a set typeface couldn't deliver.

The snow splatter sits behind the type. It's a textured layer built from custom brushes, giving the whole piece a sense of speed and impact that a flat background wouldn't carry.

The full design brings both together — the splatter, the type, and the Stevens Pass brand mark — into a single graphic that works as a chest print or a full-front design.
